Most people have a favorite athlete and they frequently check their social media accounts to check out what they’ve been up to.

Carlos Alcaraz, a tennis standout, is competing against some legendary athletes despite his youth.

For a while now, Alcaraz’s reputation has gone far beyond national boundaries. The 20-year-old Murcian, a double Grand Slam winner, is well-known figure everywhere he travels.

Alcaraz was among the ten sportsman who received the most Google, social network, and media searches in the last year, according to a report released this Monday by the OLBG team.

In a list of sports stars, where he has eclipsed Novak Djokovic and is first among tennis players, his name has attracted up to 60 million searches.

199.4 million (football) for Cristiano Ronaldo
140.9 million (football) for Neymar
104.4 million (football) for Lionel Messi
72.1 million (NBA) for LeBron James
68.0 million (cricket) for Virat Kohli
63.7 million (football) for Kylian Mbappe
60.0 million (tennis) for Carlos Alcaraz
58.4 million (tennis) for Novak Djokovic
43.4 million (football) for Erling Haaland
34.9 million (Formula 1) for Lewis Hamilton

Portuguese football player Cristiano Ronaldo is at the top of this list. Two more football players, Lionel Messi and Neymar, round off the podium.

Recall that on May 8 during a banquet in Paris, Alcaraz received the Laureus Award for the Most Promising Sportsman of the Previous Season.

With little over 26 million searches, Rafael Nadal, the second Spanish player on the list, is ranked eighteenth.

Rising talents like Jude Bellingham of Real Madrid, who has had 32.5 million searches, are ranked twelfth. Max Verstappen, a former Formula One world champion, is ranked tenth with 34.3 million.

Tennis players Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, and Emma Raducanu are in the top three spots for women. Football player Alexia Putellas from Barcelona came in fourth.
