The 49ers & NFL News claimed in a tweet on Monday that Purdy was the top-ranked athlete among the “young vets”, according to a “Rising Star” list.
The account also claimed that Indianapolis Colts’ QB Anthony Richardson was named the top seed among rookies.
The list posted by the famous Twitter account shows Garrett Wilson of the New York Jets’ as second on the list of “young vets”, followed by Tony Pollard (Dallas Cowboy} in the third spot.
Purdy has been one of the top performers for the San Francisco 49ers. After a recent elbow injury, his availability remains clouded.
However, he still enjoys the support of 49ers brass once fit. Once available, he would succeed Kylee Shanahan’s offence filled with playoff-ready weapons.
