After two years with the San Diego State Aztecs, Leonard was recognised as a consensus second-team All-American in college basketball.
He decided to skip his final two years of college and enter the 2011 NBA draughts instead.
He was the 15th overall choice and ended up being traded to the San Antonio Spurs on draught night from the Indiana Pacers.
Leonard was the Most Valuable Player of the 2014 NBA Finals for the victorious San Antonio Spurs. Leonard spent seven years with the Spurs before being dealt to the Raptors in 2018.
