Nikola Jokic Said, “I want to be like him,” In Response to Comparisons to Novak Djokovic
Fame has its glory, Nikola Jokic said, “I want to be like him,” in response to comparisons with Novak Djokovic, one of most famous tennis star.
The Denver Nuggets won the Western Conference finals against the Los Angeles Lakers 113-111 to advance to the NBA Finals for the first time in club history. Nikola Jokic scored 30 points, 14 rebounds, and 13 assists.
Despite picking up his fifth foul midway through the fourth quarter, the Serbian big man led the Nuggets’ laborious defensive effort.
Jokic was asked about his communication with fellow countryman Novak Djokovic during the post-game press conference. Both are set for a busy June and are among Serbia’s most prominent athletes.
While Jokic will take a break before facing the Boston Celtics or Miami Heat in his first NBA Finals, Novak Djokovic will participate in the French Open next month to overtake him as the all-time leader in Grand Slam victories.
