Reports: Khris Middleton Of The Bucks Underwent Offseason Knee Surgery & Will Be Ready By July
According to The Athletic, Milwaukee Bucks player Khris Middleton underwent minor arthroscopic surgery on his right knee to address a problem that affected his 2022–23 season.
Middleton allegedly underwent the treatment immediately after the Bucks‘ first-round playoff elimination on April 16. According to The Athletic, Middleton is anticipated to recover and rejoin the club fully by July. Due to right knee inflammation, he missed 18 games in December and January, but he could continue playing despite his agony for the rest of Milwaukee‘s season. Middleton also missed most of the Bucks’ 2022 postseason due to a Grade 2 left MCL strain.
Middleton endured a torrid season due to injuries as he recovered from wrist surgery, missing the first 20 games in the offseason and dealing with a left ankle strain all season. Nevertheless, the Bucks shooter averaged 15.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.9 assists in 33 games. Middleton averaged 23.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game in the first round of the playoffs against the Heat.
Middleton, who turns 32 in August, still seems to be a part of the Bucks‘ long-term plans. Before the Bucks hired former Toronto Raptors assistant Adrian Gryphon, he participated in team talks to determine Mike Budenholzer‘s successor. Middleton may sign a new long-term contract because his five-year, $177.5 million agreement from 2019 only has his player option.
With Middleton on the floor, the Bucks also improve. This previous season, Milwaukee went 33-16 when he didn’t play and 25-8 when he did.
