After suffering from significant health issues, including having his brain impacted by a stroke, his wife, Linda, informed the public about her husband’s demise.
In her interview with the BBC, Linda said, “He was recovering from that at home when he developed colitis, a chronic inflammatory bowel disease, which later turned into sepsis; that’s what killed him.”
According to Linda, she is still coping with the circumstances. “It all came about so quickly. I’ve still not come to terms with it yet.”

In the 1950s, Street began competing in professional wrestling in London. He developed a radical and dramatic image, dressing in flamboyant clothing to attract the crowd’s attention before looking to incite them and capitalise on their outrage.
With his manager and then-wife Linda, who would later join his act, Street immigrated to North America in the 1980s.
After overcoming throat cancer, he continued to wrestle until his retirement in 2014. For more than 50 years, he continued to be active.
