The 2023 NBA champion was questioned about Deion Sanders‘ Colorado football initiative, which is making headlines in the NFL. As the head coach of the football team at the University of Colorado Boulder, Sanders has recently had some success that has garnered national notice for both himself and his squad.
Nikola Jokic was unfamiliar with Sanders
Jamal Murray, a point guard for the Denver Nuggets, said he and other teammates traveled to Folsom Field to watch the game on Saturday. Several notable people and celebrities have also attended games to catch a look at the squad.
When asked if he knew anything about Sanders and his Buffalos club, Nikola Jokic, who spent a significant portion of the media day session sitting next to Murray, responded straightforwardly, which surprised many of the other journalists in attendance.
He responded in a classic Jokic way, “No.” The 28-year-old Serb was unaware of who Deion Sanders was, which caused the audience to explode in laughter. For several people, this came as a great surprise.
