Udonis Haslem Rebuked Draymond For Insulting ‘HELPLESS’ Players
After Draymond Green’s most recent ban, Udonis Haslem called him out without holding back.
The Miami Heat’s longtime veteran Udonis Haslem recently voiced his displeasure with Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors’ actions on the basketball court. Haslem spoke on the “Playmaker” podcast about Green’s extended ban after he got into a fight with Phoenix Suns player Jusuf Nurkic.
After 20 years in the NBA, Haslem said,
“Draymond, man, you’re out of pocket.” “You’ve run out of money. I f— with Draymond, dude. There are just a limited number of fighters in this league—guys who will take the technical foul, accept the tech, and defend their teammates.”
After Green’s punishment for punching Nurkic in the face, this criticism has been made. Udonis Haslem brought out Green’s practice of single-outing particular individuals, suggesting a calculated decision behind these moves. “People believe he’s insane. I believe him to be intelligent. Because he is aware of who he is “messing” with,” Haslem continued.
In the NBA, Green is starting to gain popular hostility.
NBA players and fans have differing opinions on Green’s past controversial on-court behavior. Among the more memorable ones are the hit that former teammate Jordan Poole received in the face, as well as fights with Rudy Gobert and Domantas Sabonis.
It was this pattern of conduct that prompted Haslem to claim that Green had broken the “NBA code,” especially with his criticism of Poole, which had a knock-on effect on Poole’s decision to move to Washington.
The NBA has placed restrictions on Green’s return, including counselling, in reaction to the most recent incident. Though some believe a longer ban may have a greater effect, early signs point to Green missing three to four weeks of action on the court.
According to the NBA’s largely player-friendly policy on penalties, Green is expected to return soon for the Golden State Warriors. The squad is presently having difficulty in the Western Conference standings as it struggles with its own issues.
The boundary between competitive hostility and unsportsmanlike behavior in professional basketball is a rising source of worry for players, as seen by Haslem’s remarks. A crucial topic of discussion as the NBA develops is how to strike a balance between player safety and game energy.
