Victor Wembanyama, Potential NBA “Billionaire” Player
Even before accounting for the numerous endorsements that will undoubtedly accompany his success, rookie Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs has the potential to become the first NBA player to get a billion-dollar deal.
The incredible French athlete known as “Wemby,” who was selected first overall by the Spurs in the most recent draft, earned a four-year contract for little more than fifty million dollars only to play basketball.
However, greater agreements can come later, particularly if he proves his worth to the court and provides proof of it shortly.
A ‘Golden’ opportunity
When “Wemby” completes his four years as a “freshman,” he may sign a contract extension worth about 320 million dollars, according to the contractual constraints that determine his earning potential.
But if things work out well for him and his career continues to grow, along with the kind of success that the Texans should be able to provide, the Frenchman may be able to sign a contract extension worth an additional 760 million dollars and five more years to surpass the threshold.
However, is Victor Wembanyama prepared to deal with such a situation?
He told Bloomberg that he hadn’t even considered it, but at least he’s already employed because of his sector knowledge.
