Aaron Rodgers Catastrophic Injury Foreseen By NFL Nostradamus Hours Beforehand

Aaron Rodgers injured in first Jets game

It was stunning to virtually everyone in the NFL when Aaron Rodgers suffered a potentially career-ending injury just minutes into his New York Jets career. Still, it wasn’t as shocking to one fan.

A Twitter user who follows the NFL, David Zaslav, predicted that the veteran quarterback would rupture his Achilles tendon more than two hours before the Jets vs. Buffalo Bills game began.

He predicted that Aaron Rodgers would rupture his Achilles tendon in 2.5 hours on a sodden MetLife grass, and it looks like he did, even if more diagnostic testing is needed to determine the injury’s exact nature.

David Zaslav’s tweet and forecast became well-known after Aaron Rodgers sustained a catastrophic injury at MetLife Stadium.

Fans were curious as to why and how he was able to make such a detailed and ultimately correct forecast.

David Zaslav explained why he believed Aaron Rodgers would sustain an injury after his initial post.

He stated, “40-year-old QB on rain drenched turf against the best team in football, what could go wrong, am I right?”

Twitter Officials has suspended @DaddyZaslav account.

MetLife Stadium’s playing field

It’s interesting to note that when the New York Giants played the Dallas Cowboys the night before, NFL fans had already witnessed the condition of the MetLife Stadium field.

The two New York clubs share a stadium, so playing at home on the same weekend is unusual, but Week One’s 24-hour gap between their games allowed for it.

Several spectators had already voiced their worries as they watched the Cowboys outrun the Giants to a 40-0 victory.

Some players emphasized this point after the game on Monday: the risk on turf is more significant than on natural grass.

Jets WR Randall Cobb states,

“We wanted the NFL to protect the players with grass fields, but the NFL is more worried about making money. Profit over people has always been the case. I’ve never been a fan of turf. That’s my stance.”
