Alabama Will Make CFP With One Defeat; Fans Prediction
After losing to Texas at home by a double-digit margin in Week 2, the Alabama team’s hopes of making the College Football Playoffs were severely damaged. Although the Crimson Tide hasn’t played flawless football since that setback, they have won six straight games and are once again in the running for the postseason.
Recently, online voting for the one-loss team with the best chance of making it to the College Football Playoff was requested by CBS Sports fans.
Alabama had the highest percentage of the vote (45.3%) out of almost 26,000 ballots cast. After Oregon (23.1%), Texas (23.7%), then Penn State (7.5%), in order of completion.
The Crimson Tide must beat Georgia, the top-ranked team, in the SEC championship game in order to have a shot of being considered for the playoffs. They also need to win the other games on their schedule with confidence.
