Anthony Edwards Lashes Out At Durant In Timberwolves’ Playoff Win
The Timberwolves won the series opener against the Pheonix Suns 120-95.
The Pheonix Suns great Anthony Edwards promptly informed Kevin Durant, who is arguably the finest player in NBA history and among current players, that he was unable to halt the Minnesota Timberwolves‘ postseason rampage.
Edwards’ squad won the opening game of the series 120–95. After scoring 33 points and making a crucial three-pointer at the Target Center, Edwards turned his focus to his opponent and engaged in some classic trash talk.
However, after the game on April 20, the 22-year-old Timberwolves number five showered Durant with compliments, praising him for the recognition and acknowledging that he had simply lost his cool.
Edwards remarked, “I think everyone here knows that’s my all-time favorite player.” “I think that was one of the nicest feelings I’ve ever experienced in my life.”
What was Durant’s reaction? Despite the crushing defeat he suffered in the purple Suns uniform, the NBA legend laughed it off and took it all in stride. Exemplary sportsmanship.
Durant remarked, “It’s simply basketball.” It’s just hoops, not even the playoffs.” “You become hot, you make difficult shots, and you’ll experience a surge of confidence in yourself. Therefore, it is my responsibility to return.”

Durant left Anthony Edwards speechless.
Even though Anthony Edwards put up a spectacular performance, the young player lauded Durant after the game because he was enthralled with the veteran’s legacy and skill at one point.
What happens in round two will be interesting to see. The two will fight again on Tuesday, April 24 at the Target Center.
Edwards remarked about Durant, “Was he present during the third quarter?” “I thought that by the third quarter, we ought to have already been up 15, 18 points. He also made four or five baskets in a row, if my memory serves me correctly, with ease.”
“At one point, I even turned into a fan.” “Oh my goodness,” I thought to myself as I stood there. We are powerless to stop it. He is 11-for-17 [from the field] according to the stat sheet that I’m viewing. He had thirty-one and missed six. He’s the best that’s ever done it, man. I’m very proud of him; he’s the finest.”
