Cam Newton’s Unexpected Justification For Not Playing In The NFL
Since his final tenure with the Carolina Panthers last year, Cam Newton has been searching for a new team for a while.
To return to the team where he had previously spent much of his career, Newton accepted a one-year deal worth a lucrative $10 million.
Newton, who is currently looking for a new club, thinks there is a deeper reason why he isn’t being signed since things didn’t work out so well, and he was ultimately discharged.
It has more to do with his hair than his football prowess. Newton asserts that his long hair turns off teams.
“It’s been hindered. And I’m not changing.” “People have hinted towards to say like, ‘Cam, we want you to go back to the 2015 clean-cut Cam. But that was a different me. Right now, where I’m at, it’s about embracing who I am.”

According to Newton, interested suitors had made suggestions that he should get a haircut.
“There were hints toward it and I gained a lot of great counsel from a lot of people. And the thing that is always mentioned is, ‘Yo, Cam, you [are] scaring people the way you look.”
“And I would say, ‘Yo, like I’m not going to name names, but there [are] other quarterbacks that [are] in the league that don’t look like me, but they got [have] long hair. They don’t scare them, do they?
“So, we can go tit for tat, tat for tit with it. But I would just turn and nod to that and say, ‘That’s not the reason why I’m not in the NFL.”

He stated that he wouldn’t cut his hair until one of his daughters married, so it’s doubtful he will also make a concession.
