Darius Garland & Donovan Mitchell, these two images combined are different video grabs combined.

Darius Garland has the potential to be Donovan Mitchell’s shining co-star on the Cleveland Cavaliers list.

The youthful Cleveland Cavaliers team has little postseason experience going into their first postseason together.

While it’s no secret that Donovan Mitchell has been a standout player since his first taste of the playoffs as a rookie with the Utah Jazz in 2017-18, nobody knew who would be able to hold their own alongside him in Cleveland.

It’s safe to assume we know the answer after only two games.

Darius Garland seemed utterly unaffected by the pressure, as he led the club in scoring with 32 points and added seven assists and six made three-pointers in a Game 2 triumph against the New York Knicks.

Mitchell’s 32 points are tied for the most scored by a Jazz teammate in the past five seasons, with Bojan Bogdanovic being the only other player to score 30 or more points in that span.

Mitchell, who has the seventh-highest scoring average in NBA postseason past at 28.3 points per game, now has a dependable co-star in the most important games.
