Due To Burns, David Njoku Added To Cleveland Browns' Injured List

The injury list for the Cleveland Browns game against the Baltimore Ravens unexpectedly included tight end David Njoku.

The 27-year-old footballer was burned on the face and arm in a domestic mishap. The event happened on Friday night while Njoku was attempting to start a fire pit in his garden. ESPN reported this unexpected development, and the team’s website later corroborated it.

According to the release, “TE David Njoku was added to the injury report as questionable after sustaining burn injuries to his face and arm during a household accident.”

To recognize the enormous concern and support from fans and well-wishers, Njoku’s agent, Malki Kawa, provided a quick update on social media.

Kawa wrote, “Thank you everyone for reaching out, but David Njoku is ok, thank God.”

The Browns promoted tight end Zaire Mitchell-Paden off their practice squad as a potential substitute since Njoku’s condition for the upcoming game is questionable.

With 10 receptions for 92 yards, Njoku has had a solid NFL season. By catching 58 passes for 628 yards and four touchdowns in 2022, he set a new career best. The Browns’ performance versus the Ravens may suffer because of his absence owing to these unanticipated ailments.

At Cleveland Browns Stadium on Sunday at 13:00 ET, the Browns and Ravens are slated to play.
