Draymond Green’s Comeback: Kerr Says No Words
Ten games have passed since Draymond Green‘s indefinite ban began on Tuesday, and the league has long believed that he will miss ten to fifteen games.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr hinted that Green may be sidelined for a little longer when he was questioned about it on Tuesday.
While Kerr claimed he was “not sure” when Green might make a comeback, these two remarks sparked curiosity. “We do not invade each other’s personal space; instead, we converse with each other via text. He hasn’t been in the building, not with us, anyhow. It’s possible that he was entering alone.”
Green is permitted to work out with the team and be in their vicinity as per the conditions of the league suspension. This could last longer than expected given that he hasn’t opted to do it up to this time and that he and Kerr don’t seem to have communicated much. Although there is nothing to that, Green is not under house arrest.
Some fans have attempted to draw attention to the fact that he attended LeBron James‘ 39th birthday celebration while the player was suspended. Attending a party and receiving the counseling and other help or treatment he requested are not mutually incompatible.
With one game under.500 and little chance to make the play-in round if the postseason began today, the Warriors have lost all six of the games that Green has missed due to his suspension.
Whatever Kerr does with his rotations when Green returns, Jonathan Kuminga—forced into a starting spot due to Draymond Green‘s suspension—has performed admirably and earned additional runs.
