Garrett Wilson: Events Of This Year Must Not Recur

Although Garrett Wilson, the wide receiver for the Jets, saw four different starting quarterbacks this season and still managed to rack up 95 receptions for 1,042 yards, ignore the fact that he did a great job making lemonade out of thin air.

At no other time in his life has “football been this hard,” Garrett Wilson told reporters on Monday, calling the 2023 season “the most difficult year of my life.” Since he joined the team, the Jets have not been able to adapt to other teams’ adjustments; therefore, he stated that the squad must be ready to win, whether Aaron Rodgers or another quarterback plays quarterback.

Brian Costello of the New York Post reported Wilson as saying, “What happened this season can’t happen again.” “Something better must exist. The game requires that we make changes. As I’ve been here for two years, it’s been difficult, so we need to take action to counter what we’re receiving and be able to score points. Going hasn’t been easy.”

The Jets are expecting that Rodgers’ comeback in 2024 will help break the franchise record for the longest postseason absence. Based on the Jet’s past performance, there’s no assurance that Wilson’s situation will improve after his two traumatic rookie seasons.
