It’s Possible the Milwaukee Bucks Have the Most Big Names on Their Roster
Without their all-star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo for Game 2, the Bucks may have seen their series against the Miami Heat slip to a 0-2 hole.
Instead, Milwaukee went deep into their bench to outscore Miami’s talented starting five and score 138 points.

Instead, Milwaukee went deep into their bench to outscore Miami’s talented starting five and score 138 points.
Bobby Portis replaced Antetokounmpo in the starting lineup and immediately had an impact, putting up 13 points, 15 boards, five assists, two blocks, and a steal in just 28 minutes of action.
Even without the league’s top player, the Bucks had seven players doing score in double figures, and they tied the NBA record with 25 made threes.
All of the players have postseason experience, with Goran Dragic and Jae Crowder serving more as luxury than necessity.
The Bucks appear to be the deepest team in the NBA, with the ability to go 10 deep (or more) when healthy.
Milwaukee Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks play NBA basketball in the United States city of Milwaukee. The Bucks are a basketball team based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, that plays in the NBA’s Eastern Conference Central Division. They entered the league in 1968 and call Fiserv Forum home.
A group controlled by billionaire hedge fund managers Wes Edens and Marc Lasry gave consent to buy a majority stakes in the team from former U.S. Senator Herb Kohl on April 16, 2014, and the sale was agreed by the owners of the NBA and its Board of Governors on May 16.
Former director of basketball operations Jon Horst is now the team’s manager after succeeding John Hammond.
The Bucks have won 17 division titles (1971–1974, 1980–1986, 2001, 2019–2022) and three conference titles (1971–1971, 1974–1974, 2021–2022).
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Oscar Robertson, Michael Redd, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bob Dandridge, erry Cummings, Sidney Moncrief, Bob Lanier, TGlenn Robinson, Ray Allen, Khris Middleton, Earl Boykins, Jrue Holiday, and dozens of others have all appeared in them.
There have been a combined five NBA Most Valuable Player awards won by Bucks players Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Giannis Antetokounmpo. They are also the only two players in team history to win Finals MVP. The Bucks are the only team that ever accomplished this feat, having won the Eastern and Western Conference titles.
