Ja Morant is Defended by “Idiots” &”Fools,” According to Charles Barkley

Charles Barkley Derailed A 10-Year NBA TV Agreement

By the time he turns 70, Charles Barkley has no plans to continue hosting television shows.

Former NBA player turned analyst Charles Barkley criticized individuals who defended Ja Morant after he was suspended for the second time in recent months for displaying a pistol in a video on social media.

A few people, like former Celtics star Paul Pierce, have backed Morant, while the majority have condemned his actions and commended the Grizzlies‘ prompt response.

“I don’t care what y’all say about Ja.” “I carried a gun after I was stabbed y’all don’t know what he’s going thru everyone got something to say until u really know what’s really going on in someone’s life when u black and rich u, a target period.”

Paul Pierce tweeted

Charles Barkley’s angry statement on TNT:

“We got some idiots, some fools, some jacka**** on television that really just p*** me off, talking about how Ja should make a stand by saying he didn’t break any laws, he didn’t do anything wrong.”

“Those guys are just freaking idiots.” “When you’re making $100 million a year to play sports, your life changes.”

“There are certain rules and regulations that you have to live by, you can’t do stupid stuff. That’s the tradeoff.”

Suspension of Ja Morant:

Following an eight-game suspension earlier this year for an identical incident, the Grizzlies banned Morant from all team facilities.

“I know I’ve disappointed a lot of people who have supported me.” “This is a journey, and I recognize there is more work to do.”

“My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my actions. I’m committed to continuing to work on myself.”
