The Brooklyn Nets will want to make the postseason next year and do better than in years past. Head coach Jacque Vaughn is one of the individuals they will need to help them get there, but some are still determining where he will stand in the coaching hierarchy come next season.
Vaughn rates as merely the 27th-best head coach in the NBA for the next season, according to Manolis Olandezos of Sir Charles in Charge.
Since November 2022, when Vaughn, 48, replaced Steve Nash as the club’s manager in Brooklyn after Nash was sacked following a 2-5 start for a squad that was anticipated to contend for the title, Vaughn has been in charge of Brooklyn.
With those expectations and the difficulty of taking over a squad on short notice, Jacque Vaughn excelled. After taking over, he helped the club to a 43-32 record, won Eastern Conference Coach of the Month for December, and helped the team reach the playoffs despite trading Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving in the middle of the regular season.
