Ja’Marr Chase Shoulder Injury Keep Him Out Of Saturday’s Game
Without Ja’Marr Chase, the Cincinnati Bengals will need to compete for a postseason berth this next weekend.
Chase did not finish the Week 15 victory against the Minnesota Vikings due to an AC joint injury, meaning he will miss this Saturday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. With 93 catches, 1,156 yards, and seven touchdowns, the wide receiver leads the Bengals in receiving.
After his absence from three sessions this week, Ja’Marr Chase is now regarded as week-to-week. Bengals head coach Zac Taylor had stated on Monday that Chase was day-to-day, but an MRI revealed the severity of the injury.
The 7-7 Steelers are directly behind the 8-6 Bengals in the AFC North, and they are now the sixth seed in the AFC playoff picture.
With three games remaining in the regular season against the Steelers, Chiefs, and Browns, Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins will now be the primary receiving options for Jake Browning.
According to Taylor, “To succeed in this league, you need to have weapons. It won’t always be flawless since we’ve always understood that.”
