Josh Giddey Stumbles Off Court Due To Ankle Injury
Giddey scored 11 points in total on 4 of 5 shots, including 3 of 3 from beyond the line.
Josh Giddey, the guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder, hobbled off the court during the team’s Thursday night Paycom Centre victory over the Los Angeles Clippers following a heavy fall in the second quarter.
An injured left ankle prevented Giddey, 21, from playing again. He ended the game with four 3-of-3 field goals, three rebounds, four assists, and eleven points on four of five shots.
OKC (19-8) defeated the Clippers (17-12) and won for the ninth time in a row thanks to Thunder sensation Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who topped all scorers with 31 points.
Josh Giddey had a difficult season.
At 11.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game, Josh Giddey has been a vital component of the Thunder’s success.
A continuing off-court inquiry into a suspected illegal interaction between Giddey and a juvenile has clouded his season.
