Josh Kroenke, The President Of The Nuggets, Remarks After His Team’s Victory: “This is a feeling that can’t be matched”
“It’s incredible. It’s a feeling that can’t be matched. We’ve worked for years, and to finally be here is a feeling that is absolutely indescribable.”
“It’s incredible. It’s a feeling that can’t be matched. We’ve worked for years, and to finally be here is a feeling that is absolutely indescribable.” The team’s president, Josh Kroenke, told after the Denver Nuggets‘ NBA triumph.
After the game, Kroenke gave an exclusive flash interview since he was ready to start the celebration. The owner noted that the Nuggets understood it would be a challenging game, perfectly represented in the highly close 94-89 result while holding a beer and donning Moet Champagne goggles.
“We knew it was going to be tough. To close out a team is always the toughest part of any series and to and to win the championship, you know you’re going to get the best shot.”
“Miami Heat are here for a reason: they’re great competitors, they have great owners, great coaches and great executives and they weren’t going to go away quietly so we had to compete until the final buzzer.”

He credited the team’s cohesiveness and efforts for the triumph and historic season (the Nuggets’ first NBA championship). He said it was a team effort, praising Jamal, Nikola, Michael, Aaron, and Kasey P. They play for each other, which is what they do, and that’s how we won.
A moment of change and a sporting legacy
The Nuggets‘ president has high expectations for his team’s ability to use this championship triumph as a launching pad for future success. When considering the likelihood of building on this accomplishment, Kroenke said:
“We have a chance. They’re all under contract (the players), they play for each other and now they want to win another one and they can see their goal. We’ll enjoy this one and go to try and win next year.”
The Kroenke family’s sports business has had an incredible year and a half, which was capped off with their NBA triumph. In just 16 months, they have seen championship triumphs with the Denver Nuggets, their NHL franchise, the Colorado Avalanche, their NFL team, the Los Angeles Rams, and their lacrosse squad, the Colorado Mammoth.
Kroenke concluded, reflecting on the success of his sporting dynasty. “They all taste so good [the victories], trust me. It’s impossible to pick one.”
