Lamar Jackson Displays His Talent & Overwhelms Chiefs Defense
During the second quarter, the QB for the Ravens executed a spectacular play
Before the AFC Championship game, Jackson had a mixed performance. Punting concluded his opening offensive series, as he connected with Zay Flowers in the end zone to tie the game at seven points.
His first offensive series ended with a fumble in the second quarter, and the following two concluded with two punts. But the Ravens signal-caller’s career produced one of its most stunning plays precisely because of the Chief’s defense’s constant pressure.
The amazing performance
Lamar Jackson tried to throw to the left sideline on second and five, but defender Justin Reid got a hand in and redirected the ball.
As everyone was waiting for an incomplete throw, the ball flew into no man’s land, and Lamar Jackson himself was there to grab it.
The product of the University of Louisville never lost sight of the ball. He was able to get a throw of his own, move 13 yards, earn the first down, and get his team out of the game at the 31-yard line.
Jackson received hearty applause and congrats from his teammates for the play from the M&T Bank Stadium audience. Although Lamar’s play will live on in NFL history, the Kansas City defense ultimately covered every opening and forced Jordan Stout to punt.
