Law Suit Does Not Suit Aaron Judge After Crashing Through Fence at Dodger Stadium, Says, “Nah, no need”
An enormous price was paid by more than just the grounds staff at Dodger Stadium for Aaron Judge’s amazing catch.
Judge has been sidelined since he tore a ligament in his right big toe on June 3 when he fell through the right-field bullpen fence while playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Judge told the New York Daily News on Friday that he had no intention of filing a lawsuit despite the ongoing pain from his injury.
Judge told the Daily News that he didn’t think a lawsuit was necessary.
If Judge cared to look, he or she would find that this sort of lawsuit has been litigated before.
Former Yankees outfielder Dustin Fowler filed a lawsuit against the Chicago White Sox in 2017 after he was injured while chasing after a foul ball at Guaranteed Rate Field and fell into an electrical box.
Given that Fowler was injured in his MLB debut and required season-ending surgery, he may have been more likely to pursue legal action than Judge, but the Yankees’ superstar still doesn’t have a great prognosis for 2023.
“It doesn’t feel great,” Judge told reporters on Tuesday, more than a month after the event. I can’t imagine it ever feeling ordinary.
Generally speaking, I am able to get around rather well; but, any injury may cause me discomfort for up to three years. It’s impossible to predict how you’re going to react.
