Lucas Giolito? White Sox Pitcher Allegedly Of Interest To The Dodgers

The Dodgers are reportedly interested in signing South Siders pitcher Lucas Giolito to help them improve their chances of making the postseason, according to a report from MLB Network’s Jon Morosi:
In the National League West, where they compete for first place against the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Francisco Giants, the Los Angeles Dodgers may turn to the Chicago White Sox for assistance.
At the MLB All-Star break, the Dodgers have a record of 51-38 and are tied for first place in their division with the Diamondbacks. The Giants are only 2.5 games behind the leaders of their division in the competitive race.
The White Sox, now in last place in the American League Central, may try to offload several players off their roster, including Giolito, who will be a free agent at the end of the campaign.
Lucas Giolito, who has made 19 starts for the White Sox this year with a 6-5 record and a 3.45 ERA, could provide the Dodgers’ rotation a lift right away as they attempt to lock down their roster in preparation for what they hope may be a long postseason run.
Giolito was raised in the Los Angeles region and attended high school there, so reuniting with the Dodgers may be an appealing prospect. Lucas Giolito was born in Santa Monica.
