Matthew Stafford: “I Was Hit In Head And Ribs, But I Was Alright”
Although Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford was hurt during the team’s Sunday night defeat to the Lions, he later declared that there were no major injuries to him.
Matthew Stafford was receiving treatment for a throwing hand injury early in the game. Subsequently, he suffered a strong blow, the back of his helmet bounced off the ground, and he assumed a concussion-like stance. Although Stafford took his time leaving the field while supporting his team, he declared himself OK after the game.
“I got hit in the head and ribs, but I was alright when I got back in,” Stafford remarked.
Given NFL regulations, players who appear to have suffered a concussion must be evaluated on the sidelines, making the headshot particularly concerning. However, if given the all-clear to return, they do, and Stafford declared he was ready to depart.
