At a hearing on Thursday in San Diego, top basketball prospect and Memphis Miley Williams pleaded not guilty to various counts related to a gunshot at his house.

Williams, one of the most well-known amateur basketball players on the internet in recent years, was taken into custody last week.

This is the video grab of the hearing of the case of Mikey Willaims.

On March 27, Williams allegedly opened fire on a car full of individuals who were leaving his house. Assault with dangerous weapon charges were filed against him after the incident.

On April 13, he was arrested and held on $50,000 bond until midnight on April 14, when he was freed.

The incident report from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department states, “Five persons got into a car, and as they were about to drive away, shots were fired.” “The car took a hit, but no one was hurt.”

The San Diego Union-Tribune and NBC 7 San Diego report that Williams was arrested on suspicion of five felonies involving assault with a dangerous weapon.

According to ESPN, the San Diego Sheriff’s Department only expects to file a single charge against Williams.

As Williams’ lawyer Troy P. Owens explained to reporters, safety concerns forced Williams to appear electronically at his hearing on Thursday.

On April 14th, his Instagram account was deleted along with its 3.8 million followers.

He also had 2.1 million TikTok followers, and his most popular videos have been viewed by millions of people on YouTube.

Ci, a 6-foot-3 point guard in the class of 2023, is ranked No. 31 in the country by Rivals.

Similarly, his classmate and fellow senior at San Ysidro High School, J.J. Taylor, also committed to play for coach Penny Hardaway back in November.

The two make up a third-ranked (6-man) recruiting class, only behind Kentucky and Duke. Williams is the best player in his or her grade.

According to a statement sent by the city, Memphis is “aware of the situation” and “gathering more information.” Hardaway “didn’t have enough information” to comment on the issue, he told The Commercial Appeal earlier this week.
