Kevin Durant’s most recent tweet suggests that he disagrees with the NBA’s new rule requiring players who want to be considered for individual end-of-season accolades and All-NBA teams to play at least 65 games.

The former Nets player responded that it shouldn’t matter so much since he didn’t participate in at least 65 games, ridiculing the NBA regulation that will be in effect starting in the 2019–20 season on Twitter in response to a message that stated the Suns player is having a spectacular season.

As he has had trouble staying healthy in recent years while being one of the league’s greatest players, Kevin Durant will likely no longer be eligible for future individual awards.

The forward for the Golden State Warriors, Draymond Green, was one of the first to speak out strongly against the NBA’s decision to require at least 65 games played for All-NBA team selection and individual accolades.

Green said that due to this decision, all NBA teams would be populated with “bums” who would be voted in only for playing the required number of games and subsequently be qualified for supermax contracts.
