Myles Garrett Thrashes Colts, Forcing Deshaun Watson To Leave Game

The first half of the Browns’ Week 7 game against the Colts, which had them leading 27-21 at the break, was completely changed by Myles Garrett.

With three minutes remaining in the first quarter and quarterback Deshaun Watson down due to a big hit, Garrett has been outstanding for Cleveland, carrying the club on his shoulders. PJ Walker takes over as the Browns’ offensive coordinator.

A Colts field goal attempt from 60 yards out was blocked by Garrett in the second quarter, preventing the Colts from scoring three points. Denzel Ward picked up the lost ball and returned it to the Indianapolis 26-yard line, setting up a field goal.

Tony Fields, a linebacker, recovered the loose ball after Garrett stripped and sacked Gardner Minshew in the end zone for a defensive score.

He also got to Minshew in the first quarter, making this play his second strip-sack of the half. Kareem Hunt scored from two yards out as a result of that stop.

Of the 24 points scored by the Browns in the first half, Garrett’s playmaking was responsible for 17 of them. LeBron James, an Ohio native and ardent supporter of the Browns, lauded Myles Garrett on X, saying,

“Myles, knock it off, man! Your first-half performance was phenomenal.” Go Browns! You are insane.
