Coach Juwan Howard will gain much-needed talent for his squad next season by transferring Caleb Love from North Carolina to Michigan. The 6-foot-4 guard made his choice public on social media on Friday.

Love posted a picture of himself in Michigan attire with the message “Go rewrite your story child” on social media.

Tray Jackson, a former Seton Hall guard, was also added by the Wolverines and posted his floor plans. Throughout his three years in the starting lineup for the Tar Heels, Love averaged a team-best 16.7 points per game.

His 28-point effort in a victory against Duke in the Final Four the previous year, the first time the two teams had faced each other in the NCAA Tournament, and Mike Krzyzewski’s final game as a coach in the Hall of Fame were just a few of his memorable performances.

Throughout three years, Love only made 36% of his shots, and in any given season, he failed to make 40% of his field goal attempts.

Jackson, a native of Detroit, enrolled at Missouri to begin his collegiate career in 2019. After transferring, he played two seasons at Seton Hall, averaging six or more points per game.

Love and Jackson will be welcomed by the Wolverines, who suffered many losses this summer.

Hunter Dickinson, a center, made a transfer, Jett Howard, a wing who had one season playing for his father, is entering the NBA draught, and Kobe Bufkin, a guard, is turning pro after two years.

Twitter erupted with fan discussion about the choice after the announcement. Whatever UNC supporters’ opinions of Love were during the previous season, there is no disputing that his stellar performance during the 2021–2022 season will forever be associated with the Tar Heels.
