Possibly New Suns Team Captain Devin Booker

Its largely about Devin Booker. Despite the fact that Kevin Durant has the fourth-highest postseason scoring average, is a two-time champion and Finals MVP, and is widely regarded as the best player on the Phoenix Suns, Devin Booker may be performing his best “look at me” impression.

Despite the fact that Kevin Durant has the fourth-highest postseason scoring average, is a two-time champion and Finals MVP, and is widely regarded as the best player on the Phoenix Suns, Devin Booker may be performing his best “look at me” impression.

Booker’s 45-point outburst in Game 3’s victory against the Clippers was a major factor in the Suns’ 109-80 victory over Durant and the Warriors in their first three postseason games as a club.

His overall usage is also higher than that of Durant’s (24.5 percent vs. 28.7 percent).

Booker is no stranger to the playoffs; last year, in 10 total playoff games, he averaged 23.3 points per game and helped lead the Suns to the NBA Finals.

It is surprising to see Booker not defer to one of the all-time greats in Durant more, but this is not always a bad thing. Durant was the key postseason scoring option even as a colleague of Stephen Curry from 2017-2019.

It will take some adjustment to see Durant as the second scoring option for the Warriors if this is the new normal in the desert.

Devin Armani Booker

American basketball player Devin Armani Booker was born on October 30, 1996, and currently plays for the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He spent one year on the basketball team for the University of Kentucky Wildcats before graduating.

Booker was the thirteenth overall pick of the 2015 NBA draughts, and the Suns used that pick to select him. When he scored 70 points playing against the Boston Celtics in 2017, at the age of 20, he set a record as the NBA’s youngest player to ever do so.

Booker, then just 22 years old, made NBA history in 2019 by scoring 50 points in three straight games.

Booker, Jr. is the son of retired NBA player Melvin Booker. Devin has made the All-Star team three times and was a key contributor to the Suns’ 2021 NBA Championship run.

The following year, he helped the Suns set a franchise record with 64 victories, and the NBA recognised his efforts by placing him on the All-NBA First Team. Booker also brought home the gold for the United States in Tokyo in 2020.
