Randy Arozarena ‘s Muscle Injury; Bad News For Tampa Bay Rays
The Tampa Bay Rays’ aspirations for the season are heavily reliant on Arozarena.
When Randy Arozarena noticed he was experiencing some pain in one of his right quadriceps, the Tampa Bay Rays‘ fan base immediately became concerned about him.
Fans of the Mexican star immediately began to worry about the likelihood of an injury that would keep him out of action for a long period while his club was facing the Toronto Blue Jays in the fifth inning.
A .255 batting average and 23 home runs have been hit by the 2023 All-Star player so far this season. He has 83 RBI and 22 stolen bases this season, which have helped the squad. All-Star-caliber performance numbers that might not have been there throughout the season’s pivotal moments.
Randy remarked he wasn’t feeling good in his quad during the post-game news conference and had to leave the game. Despite her discomfort, Arozarena said,
“I believe I’m coming back soon. I feel well and hope I can get back quickly. I feel it’s nothing serious. Nobody wants to get injured. We are fighting strong at the top of the division. The Orioles are doing a great job and we are also fighting to keep ourselves in the fight. But we need to keep going until we complete the full 162 games. It’s now four or five players that are injured but we need to keep going. The Playoffs are coming and we all hope we can keep doing a good job. Nobody wants to be injured.”
Will the Rays still have a chance to advance?
The issue is that the Tampa Bay Rays organization has several injured players, as Randy previously said. To compete against the Baltimore Orioles for the division title, they must have every player fully healthy.
In addition, outfielders Luke Raley, Jose Siri, and second baseman Brandon Love all have injuries. Ideally, Randy Arozarena will be able to compete through the completion of the regular season.
He’ll be able to continue supporting the club in this fashion and continue to put up the great numbers for the Tampa Bay Rays that he has already done this year.
