Rob Gronkowski Knows How To Be Reinstated In NFL

Rob Gronkowski, a former member of the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, reportedly said he would only consider joining the NFL if someone broke his record for touchdowns.

The record for the most touchdowns scored from the position in a single season belongs to Gronkowski, who retired in early 2022 after winning four Super Bowls. In 2011, he scored 17 touchdowns.

In a conversation with Kay Adams on her “Up & Adams” program, Gronkowski said, “No. But if someone beats it, I’m coming back to football. That’s the only way I will return to the NFL if someone beats my touchdown record because that record is mine. You can take the receiving record; you can take as many touchdowns in three games, two games, or a one-game record. That touchdown record by a tight end is my record. I’m proud of it. I love it. And if someone beats it, I must return and try to reclaim it.”

The Patriots were able to make it to the Super Bowl in 2011, largely thanks to Rob Gronkowski, but the New York Giants eventually defeated them. The 34-year-old has remained retired despite rumors of a possible comeback last season.
