Sauce Gardner Has Yet to Impress with Jessica Alba’s Personalized Cleats
Despite developing a friendship with the actress through a priceless contact, New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner needed to be addressed with a set of custom-made Jessica Alba cleats presented to him by show artist Mike Jordan earlier this week.
The 22-year-old Gardner recently watched a New York Knicks game courtside with his new colleague Aaron Rodgers, who poked fun of the inexperienced cornerback for failing to recognize Alba seated next to them.
When Gardner gave her buddy a “saucy” one-liner, Alba, 42, revealed it on Twitter. Gardner’s friend was delighted that Alba recalled it.
During the exchange, 39-year-old Rodgers also joined in, telling Gardner how happy he was to be assisting him in meeting new people.
The viral interaction was more than enough justification for the shoe designer to make the cleats for Gardner, who reacted unexpectedly.
“If I walk in the facility and see these in my locker, me and you gonna have a talk.”
Sauce Gardener tweeted
Gardner didn’t say he didn’t like the cleats, but his tweet implies that’s what he was thinking, and Jordan, the shoe artist, reacted by stating that’s precisely where they were.
After meeting with the “Honey” and “Fantastic 4” actresses, Gardner did not need to don the cleats.
He is about to start his second NFL season and hopes to add the Defensive Player of the Year trophy to his Defensive Rookie of the Year honors.
