The untimely death of former NFL quarterback Dwayne Haskins in April last year left many issues unanswered. Yet new information has emerged that could provide insight into his death’s circumstances.

Dwayne Haskins was a standout quarterback for Ohio State before he entered the NFL. In his lone season as the Buckeyes’ starting quarterback in 2018, he threw for 4,831 yards and 50 touchdowns while completing 70% of his passes.

Shortly, a civil case that may shed light on the circumstances surrounding Haskins’ passing is anticipated, according to ESPN NFL analyst Ryan Clark.

According to Clark’s sources, the lawsuit could show that Haskins was unfairly singled out for attention.

Surprising information from Haskins’ last night before the horrific tragedy is revealed in the autopsy report. Former Ohio State quarterback Haskins spent three seasons in the NFL with Pittsburgh and Washington.

On April 9, 2022, at 7 a.m., he was tragically killed on I-595, close to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, after suffering terrible injuries after being hit by a dump truck and another car. 

Haskins’ blood alcohol level was .20, and ketamine testing for the painkiller was positive, according to the postmortem report.

He had been working out nearby with several of his Pittsburgh Steelers colleagues, and the group had gone out to eat before he went out to a club with a buddy or cousin.

According to the story, Haskins and his partner fought and split off. Later, near the location of his collision, Haskins’ rented automobile was discovered on the highway shoulder with no gasoline.

During his rookie season, Haskins played in nine games and completed 119 of 203 passes for 1,365 yards, seven touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

After being released by Washington in December 2020, he signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in January 2021.
