Game 2 of the Warriors’ first-round playoff series against the Sacramento Kings was played on Monday at the Golden 1 Center, and Draymond Green undoubtedly had an impact. The Warriors were defeated 114–106.
When Green and Kings Center Domantas Sabonis got tangled up beneath the hoop with seven minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Kings were leading 91-87.
Green attempted to remove himself from Sabonis, who looked to be holding onto his right leg, but the Warriors forward trod on the big man’s chest instead.
NBA Twitter went into a frenzy after Green was dismissed from the game on committing a flagrant two-foul.
Green’s ejections seldom helped the Warriors, but they frequently ignited something. In an interview, Draymond Green explained that his leg was grabbed badly. His intentions were not to hit Domantas Sabonis.
Sadly, the spurt was insufficient for the Warriors to score a comeback victory over the Kings.
