Tanner Mordecai, a current starting quarterback for Wisconsin and a transfer from SMU, was added to the 2023 Davey O’Brien Award watch list. The prize is presented annually to college football’s top quarterback.

Tanner Mordecai had two solid seasons under his belt as a starter when he arrived in Wisconsin. He has passed over 7,000 yards and 72 touchdowns throughout his two years at SMU.
