Trevor Lawrence Out For Injury, C.J. Beathard Plays For Jags
Due to a shoulder injury, Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence was removed from the game against the Buccaneers in the fourth quarter.
It is deemed doubtful that Trevor Lawrence will return. With the Jags behind 30 to 6, C.J. Beathard will probably start at quarterback for the remainder of the contest.
After the Jaguars arrived in Tampa, Beathard found tight end Evan Engram twice in a row, but Engram fumbled on the second ball, capping a terrible day for the team. Lawrence was in charge of three of the Jaguars’ four turnovers on the day.
Linebacker Yaya Diaby sackted him, forcing him to fumble, and he lost the ball in the third quarter after throwing two interceptions in the first half. Though the Jaguars are headed for their fourth straight loss, he did manage to give Calvin Ridley a touchdown pass to get the team started.
