Victor Wembanyama, Chet Holmgren Star in 2023-24 Kia NBA All-Rookie Teams
San Antonio Spurs forward-center Victor Wembanyama, who was picked as the 2023-24 Kia NBA Rookie of the Year, and Oklahoma City Thunder forward-center Chet Holmgren have made it to the 2023-24 Kia NBA All-Rookie First Team.
Both received unanimous First Team votes on all 99 ballots from a global panel of sports writers and broadcasters.
The other notable additions to the NBA All-Rookie First Team are Charlotte Hornets forward-guard Brandon Miller, Miami Heat forward Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Golden State Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski.

Meanwhile, the Second Team includes Dallas Mavericks center Dereck Lively II, Houston Rockets guard-forward Amen Thompson, Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George, Oklahoma City guard Cason Wallace and Memphis Grizzlies forward GG Jackson II, as announced by NBA Communications on X.
The NBA will announce the All-Defensive team on Tuesday and the All-NBA team on Wednesday. Wembanyama is favorite for making it to the first-team All-Defence player as well. He was second in the Kia Defence Player of the Year race to Timberwolves Rudy Gobert. The Spurs forward might as well be considered for the All-NBA Team as well.

If he makes it to the All-Defence or All-NBA Team, or both, he will become the first rookie to do so since the two other Sant Antonio centers, Tim Duncan in 1998 and David Robinson in 1990.
So far, only five rookies have been able to get on All-Defence. These are Tim Duncan, David Robinson, Manute Bol (1986), Hakeem Olajuwon (1985), and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (1970).
The global panel of sports writers and presenters selected the five players for the NBA First Team and as many players for the Second Team at any position. Players who received two points for each first team vote and one point for the second team vote.
