Will Levis Be The Fourth-Round Buy for the Colts

It is generally believed that Will Levis is really wanted by Colts. How much does Levis mean to the Indianapolis Colts? Miller of ESPN claims that this is the general consensus.

It is generally believed that Will Levis is really wanted by Colts. How much does Levis mean to the Indianapolis Colts? Miller of ESPN claims that this is the general consensus.

Miller quotes an AFC scout as saying, “The Colts want Levis.” Are they more in love with him than with Stroud? It’s a risky move, but I think they do.

Since the Texans may not select a quarterback with the second overall pick, it is appropriate to discuss Stroud. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Arizona Cardinals have gotten a lot of attention for the third overall pick in the draft.

If Stroud is available, the Colts could consider trading up to get him. Perhaps, and Colts GM Chris Ballard has cast doubt on the idea that the team has settled on a certain quarterback.

Ballard told reporters on Friday, “There’s a misconception out there that we’ve targeted one player.”

Still, I think people can rest easy sticking put and opting for Levis instead. Levis’ professional work ethic and scheme management skills are to thank for this.

Kentucky’s offensive coordinator and former Rams OC Liam Coen praised the player’s work ethic and intelligence, as reported by The Athletic’s Jeff Howe.

Coen claims that Levis had a sophisticated playbook that included several different check possibilities for each play.

“Those were all things asked him to work on that we also asked Matthew Stafford to do,” Coen stated, as quoted by Howe. That’s something every NFL offensive coordinator stresses to their quarterback.

Shane Steichen, the recently hired head coach of the Indianapolis Colts, was the offensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles, where he witnessed the meteoric rise of Jalen Hurts from a second-round draft selection and Carson Wentz’s backup to a potential MVP candidate.

Hurts climbed the ranks by studying hard and mastering all aspects of Steichen’s offensive scheme.

This is not to say that Levis will replace Hurts, but that Indianapolis places a high value on his finest qualities.
