Zay Flowers Caps Up His Career-Night With Cristiano Ronaldo Celly
After a 37-yard running score to seal the victory, rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers of the Baltimore Ravens had the greatest game of his brief NFL career at SoFi Stadium against the Los Angeles Chargers. He capped it off with a Cristiano Ronaldo celebration.
In the final seconds of the game, Flowers, 23, raced 37 yards to the house to give Baltimore a three-point advantage that was increased to 20-10 following the extra point.
After his penalty kick against seasoned receiver Odell Beckham Jr., Flowers mimicked soccer player Ronaldo’s “SIU” celebration.
Zay Flowers not only grabbed the game’s lone touchdown throw from Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, but also concluded with a 37-yard running touchdown on his lone try via the ground.
Zay Flowers’ first celly did not sit well with Lamar Jackson.
Although Jackson laughed at Flowers’ explanation on the sidelines, his previous celly did not sit well with him, even though his Ronaldo celebration went viral.
After collecting Jackson’s throw in the end zone, Flowers—who finished with 25 receiving yards and a touchdown on five receptions—pretended to toss a bridal bouquet.
26-year-old Jackson gave Flowers “the side-eye” as he seemed to be outlining the celebration’s concept. In the game against the Chargers, the quarterback for the Ravens also created history.
