On Tuesday, Anthony Poole reacted on Twitter to a clip of Draymond Green discussing and presumably defending his decision to hit Jordan in the face at a Warriors practice last October.

Green’s response was given quickly.

The dispute between the rookie player and Green was resolved after the Warriors sold Jordan to the Washington Wizards last month as part of a historic deal that brought veteran point guard Chris Paul to Golden State. However, things went differently than planned.

Green continued to discuss the events leading up to the confrontation when he joined the “Pat Bev Pod,” hosted by Philadelphia 76ers player Patrick Beverley. Before Green’s punch hit Poole in the face and sent the 24-year-old to the floor, the four-time NBA champion hinted that the player was running his mouth.

Green told Beverly that “I don’t just hit people.” “Dialogue, of course, happens over time. You usually ain’t just triggered by something, that fast to that degree. This is a team. Ain’t nobody on my team triggering me in an instant? Dialogue, of course, happens over time.” “We know stuff that you don’t say among men. We know things that you have to stand by. As I’ve admitted before, I was wrong in the way that I handled it—for the situation and where we were. But I’m a man at the end of the day, and I stand on things. And there are certain things you have to stand on.”

When questioned about Green and the Warriors’ 2022–23 season at his first media appearance in Washington, D.C., since the deal, Jordan utterly sidestepped the topic.

Jordan did post a video on his Instagram story immediately after his dad’s transaction with Green, and he chose an intriguing music choice to go with the post. Jordan has not spoken publicly about Green since the trade, though.

Jordan used an emoji of a laughing face to comment on the tale. “Talk of the topic … find you a hobby.”

The matter is far from resolved, even if Green and Jordan are currently on different coasts.
