Among Many Others A Saudi Arabian Club Makes a Gigantic Transfer Offer for Kylian Mbappé

Kylian Mbappé won’t play for Paris Saint-Germain again. This week, the Ligue 1 team made that very obvious by excluding Mbappé from its summer roster and announcing to the rest of soccer that it intended to part ways with the French star.

And now, as has happened with so many other well-known players this summer, Mbappé is reportedly the target of a Saudi Arabian team.

According to French journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Al-Hilal, which lost the race to sign Lionel Messi to MLS team Inter Miami, reportedly offered Mbappé a deal worth €400 million (about $445.3 million) and agreed to pay PSG a €200 million fee (around $222.5 million).

According to Hawkins, PSG will reportedly accept this agreement if Mbappe doesn’t consent to a contract extension by July 31.

Al-Hilal is also said to be open to allowing Mbappé to join Real Madrid in 2024, the team he has been most frequently connected to in recent years.

Mbappé has the option to decline the move to Saudi Arabia if PSG approves it. Until next summer, when he declared he would quit the club, he is still bound to PSG.

Mbappé cannot, however, leave PSG for free. It is thus looking for a different team to transfer Mbappé to before his contract expires.

But if he joined Al-Hilal, he would right away take on the role of the league’s public face.

Other prominent athletes, such fellow Frenchman Karim Benzema and former Real Madrid, Juventus, and Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo, already compete in Saudi Arabia.

It is anticipated that the kingdom’s Public Wealth Fund will spend billions of dollars supporting the top soccer league in the nation.

PSG must find a partner before the summer transfer window closes on September 1 at 11 p.m. ET or wait until the winter window opens on January 1, 2024.

According to an ESPNFC story, the club will bench Mbappé rather than play him and maybe reduce his transfer cost value for the upcoming window.

Other teams will most likely emerge from hiding to try and sign the winger.

If and when Mbappé becomes a free agent next summer, Real Madrid is the largest and most likely name, but it also appears to be in the lead in courting him.

According to Hawkins, Chelsea is apparently another team interested in Mbappé.

But unless Mbappé does, nothing will change. Therefore, Mbappé must decide his own immediate future as PSG arranges his departure – or wait a year.
