Boxing: Fierro Vs Zamarripa Live On DAZN From Tijuana
On the eve of Mexican Independence, Tijuana’s Auditorio Municipal Fausto Gutierrez Moreno is set to reverberate with the enthusiasm of a significant lightweight contest.
Aspiring champion Angel Fierro, mentored by the iconic Erik Morales, will step onto his home turf this Friday, September 15th, televised live on DAZN, to inch closer to his long-cherished ambition.
Ranked fifth by the WBO, Angel Fierro’s journey is intertwined with promises and dreams. Recounting his commitment to his family, Fierro articulated, “From my tender years, the dream of a World title has been an ember in my heart, a promise I made to my parents and my daughter. Our eyes are firmly set on the win this Friday, with the World title on the horizon.”
The story of Fierro’s rise is reminiscent of classic boxing tales. The young boxer made a memorable entrance into professional boxing in 2015 with a resounding victory against Salvador Nunez Guillen.
Although he faced a setback against Alex Martin, his spirit remained unbroken. Demonstrating tenacity, Fierro stunned the boxing community in March 2021 with a remarkable win against former WBA super-featherweight champion Alberto Machado.
A bout that saw Fierro on the ropes eventually turned in his favor with a masterful knockout in the 6th round. Two years after this defining moment, Fierro is poised to elevate his career, defending his WBO NABO title.

However, it’s not just Fierro’s story that will unfold in the ring. Brayan Zamarripa, fully aware of the opportunity in front of him, intends to leave an indelible mark. “I’ve dedicated my life to this sport. Friday offers a chance to showcase my skills and set a new career trajectory,” Zamarripa confidently expressed.
