Chael Sonnen Criticize Jake Paul For Unaware With Rules Of Mike Tyson Fight

Chael Sonnen, the legendary UFC fighter, shrugged off the remarks made by “Problem Child” Jake Paul, who stated that one of the combatants “has to die.” Things are becoming heated between the two.

The 31-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul, who has only 10 professional fights under his belt, will take on Tyson when he returns from retirement in one of the most eagerly awaited boxing events of the year.

Tickets for their fight, which is scheduled for July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, are expected to sell out quickly. The two have had more respectful but nevertheless acerbic exchanges in their early interactions.

Though Chael Sonnen obviously wasn’t a fan of Paul’s attempts to agitate the 58-year-old former heavyweight world champion, his statements that he would “end” Tyson and that “one of us has to die” have drawn criticism.

This was a reply rather than an announcement that the Commission would approve of [Tyson-Paul]. Jake then remarked, “Well, one of us has to pass away,” Sonnen stated. “Why must one of you perish? Not one of you should pass away.”

Three ringside judges and eight two-minute rounds will be part of the Marquee of Queensberry rules, which will govern the highly anticipated boxing bout between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul. The match has been officially sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations.

In response to the Californian’s declaration, Sonnen questioned Paul’s logic in a video posted on his official YouTube account. In the video, the former middleweight champion gave an explanation of why he wouldn’t prevail if Tyson passed away.

“Meanwhile, if the fight was unofficial and you guys were in charge of setting the rules, perhaps you could include a death clause.”

“In contrast, no one is permitted to pass away when there is a commission. You can’t murder him. They simply cancel the entire affair, rather than declaring you the winner, in my opinion.”
