According to football (soccer) writer Fabrizio Romano, Mauricio Pochettino is back coaching in the English Premier League after being supposedly chosen as Chelsea’s next manager.
He will succeed Thomas Tuchel, who was fired by Chelsea on September 7 after just one month in charge, and will succeed interim manager Frank Lampard.
Soon after Tuchel left, Pochettino, 51, allegedly made the team’s short list.
According to Romano, he will take over as the team’s head coach to start the following season, with Lampard continuing in that role through the remainder of the current one.
After 18 months, Pochettino left his position as head coach of Ligue 1’s Paris Saint-Germain on July 5, 2022.

Additionally, he has a 31-15-21 record in foreign tournaments like the UEFA Champions League and the Europa League.
Pochettino is required by Chelsea to turn around a squad that has spent about $600 million since Todd Boehly, owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, acquired the organization a year ago.
The Blues are now 11th in the standings and have dropped or drew 11 of their previous 12 games during the last two months.
