De'Von Achane: Dolphins' RB: Knee Ailment Might Cause Him Miss Many Weeks

One of the NFL‘s most interesting tales this year has been De’Von Achane. In the last three games, the Miami Dolphins rookie running back has scored seven touchdowns and averaged 12.1 yards per carry, which is absurd in the NFL.

However, he is now suffering from a knee injury.

According to Adam Beasley of the Pro Football Network, the club inspected Achane on Monday. Dolphins’ coach Mike McDaniel claimed he didn’t know how it happened during Sunday’s game. Achane tried to play despite the injury.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, De’Von Achane is reportedly considering a potential multi-week absence. But McDaniel declined to speculate on whether Achane may miss any time.

Swift Achane’s stature was one factor that caused him to be selected in the third round of the draft. At the NFL scouting combine, he was just 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighed 188 pounds. Running backs of his size seldom withstand a heavy workload in the NFL.

After suffering from ailments throughout the preseason and splitting time between Raheem Mostert in three games, Achane is currently dealing with a knee problem.

The already quick Dolphins offense now adds an exciting component, thanks to Achane. On just 38 carries, he has accumulated 460 rushing yards, which is unheard of. Additionally, he has 67 yards receiving, including a few touchdown catches.

The Dolphins are hoping Achane recovers more quickly than they anticipate. Given how rapidly Achane helped raise the Dolphin’s offense to record heights, Miami will sadly miss his output while he’s away.
