Draymond Green “Rash Decision” Of Retirement

Adam Silver persuaded Draymond Green to change his “Rash Decision” of retirement

Draymond Green, First Player In NBA History To Record “Double-Double”

After his recent on-court problems, Draymond Green was prepared to call it quits on his career. However, he claims that Commissioner Adam Silver persuaded him to continue playing.

During his recent suspension from the Golden State Warriors, Green discussed a chat he had with Silver on the most recent episode of his podcast. Silver successfully persuaded him to change his mind about leaving the NBA.

“Adam, this is too much for me,” I said to him. “This is excessive. I’m going to retire because it’s all getting too much for me.” Adam replied, “You’re making a really reckless choice, and I won’t let you do that.”

Silver’s dedication to the players was then complimented by Draymond Green.

“I found our extended, excellent talk to be really beneficial. I’m grateful to be a member of a league where Adam, the commissioner, is more interested in assisting you than in harming or punishing you. The players are more important to him.”

This season, Green has received two suspensions, both for aggressive on-court confrontations. First, he was given a five-game suspension for choke-holding Rudy Gobert during a fight with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Shortly after serving his term of suspension again, on December 13, Green attacked Jusuf Nurkic in a game against the Phoenix Suns. Rather than suspending him for a set number of games, the NBA decided to punish him “indefinitely” until he fulfilled particular league conditions and had a meeting with a counselor.

It turned out that 12 games were suspended indefinitely. Green was back in action on Saturday, but he was not part of the Warriors’ 133-118 defeat to the Toronto Raptors on Sunday. He could make a comeback this weekend when the Warriors travel to Chicago and Milwaukee. He will also probably miss Wednesday’s home game against the New Orleans Pelicans.
