Eden Hazard Is Officially Leaving Real Madrid

Eden Hazard – Eden Hazard Is Officially Leaving Real Madrid.

Eden Hazard‘s departure from Real Madrid has been officially announced, following Marco Asensio and Mariano Diaz.

The Belgian, whose contract has one year left, is leaving the club this summer despite having one year left.

Real Madrid announced that the partnership ended soon after The Athletic revealed that an immediate exit was being sought.

The club declared in a statement that

“Real Madrid and Eden Hazard have reached an agreement whereby the player will leave the club as of June 30, 2023.”

“Eden Hazard has been part of our club for four seasons, during which time he has won eight titles: one European Cup, one Club World Cup, one UEFA Super Cup, two LaLiga titles, one Copa del Rey and two Spanish Super Cups.”

“Real Madrid would like to express our affection to Eden Hazard and we wish him and his family the best of luck for the next stage of his career.”

The four challenging years Hazard had at Real Madrid

In a 2019 transfer that cost Chelsea more than 100 million euros, Eden Hazard moved to Madrid.

He was ruminated to be one of the world’s finest players, trailing only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. He had guided his national team to third place at the World Cup in Russia and helped Chelsea win the Europa League.

However, nothing happened as planned since he was out of shape when he came, settled in in October, and had a fitness issue resulting from an injury versus PSG in November.

He and his coach Carlo Ancelotti have acknowledged that he underwent surgery and was never even close to becoming an elite football player again.

With 54 games, 30 starts, and four goals, the Belgian leaves Real Madrid with a resume that is unworthy of the star he was.
